Juniata County Emergency Services (JC911) strives to provide the most effective emergency communications system possible.  To attain this goal, The Juniata County Commissioners established a single Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) for the dispatch of Medical, Fire Service and Law Enforcement requests for service. Pursuant to Act 78 of 1990 –The Public Safety (9-1-1) Telephone Act, the 9-1-1 emergency telephone number was implemented within the county to provide rapid access to public safety services.
