Assessment & GIS
The primary function of the Assessment Office is the discovery, listing and valuation of property for tax purposes.
Children and Youth Social Services Agency
The Juniata County Children and Youth Social Services Agency is responsible for providing services as mandated by Federal and State statutes and regulations to children and youth for the purpose of protecting children from abuse and neglect.
Domestic Relations
Domestic Relations is responsible for establishing and enforcing orders for child support, spousal support, alimony, support for children in Court Placement and reimbursement to the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare. Domestic Relations also assists in locating non-custodial parents and in establishing paternity.

Human Services
In 2004 the Mifflin and Juniata County Commissioners entered into an agreement to combine the Human Services Departments for both counties. The Mifflin-Juniata County Human Services Department emerged and is the administering agency for several human service-related grants received by the counties.

The Juniata County Courthouse Maintenance Department is responsible for the upkeep of all county property and equipment.
Planning and Community Development
The mission of Juniata County Planning and Community Development is to provide strategic, coordinated, and objective guidance and oversight to the growth, planning, and development activities of Juniata County.
Prison
Corrections officers are responsible for the care, custody and control of individuals who are resident at the Mifflin County Correctional Facility.
Probation and Parole
As a subsidiary department of the Court of Common Pleas of the 41st Judicial District, Juniata County Branch, the Probation and Parole Department is primarily responsible for the implementation of orders and directives of the court.

Solicitor
The Solicitor is an attorney or legal advisor who gives advice to the County Commissioners and who represents the County in litigation in which the County is a party.
Tax Claim Bureau
The Tax Claim Bureau is responsible for the collection of delinquent real estate taxes for all areas of Juniata County. These taxes consist of County, Township, Borough and School District Real Estate Taxes.
Veterans’ Affairs
The Juniata County Veterans’ Affairs Department connects veterans and their families to the social services they may need, including education, medical services, or housing.
Victim Witness Program
Staff of the Victim Witness Program act as advocates on behalf of victims and witnesses to crimes.
Voter Registration
The Voter Registration Department is responsible for registering eligible county residents to vote and for maintaining all voter registration records. All activities are in compliance with established voting laws as overseen by the Pennsylvania Department of State.
